Immunisations from Influenza to Yellow Fever are undertaken by our practice nurse team.
If you have any queries on immunisation please make an appointment to see or telephone the nurse to discuss.
We offer a full travel advice and immunisation service. If you are travelling abroad please complete and submit the travel form in plenty of time (we recommend 6-8 weeks) before your journey.
Most immunisations are free on the NHS but some travel immunisations such as Yellow Fever and Rabies incur a fee. For up to date information on charges for your trip you will need to speak to a practice nurse.
Boundary House Surgery is a Yellow Fever Centre. This service is available to registered and non-registered patients.
For further information on vaccination requirements, health outbreaks and general disease protection and prevention you should visit the website of NaTHNaC.
Prior to travelling abroad it is advisable to check with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office for useful information about your destination. The Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s (FCO) Travel Advice Notices aim to ensure that British travellers are well prepared before departure on all aspects of travel. Please access this information to ensure you are aware of any VISA requirements, local laws and customs and any safety and security advice.
Also you can also register your travel details with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s (FCO).
In the event of any problems abroad the FCO consular and crisis staff can provide better assistance to you in an emergency and can alert citizens of any relevant travel concerns as well as contact citizens in the event of an emergency.
